Kvarn X is expanding its offering into precious metals and is launching Kvarn X Gold, through which customers can buy and own investment gold digitally and trade it around the clock (24/7). Kvarn X Gold is part of a broader initiative aimed at bringing commodity ownership into a modern digital format.
HELSINKI, March 13, 2026 – Kvarn X is expanding its offering into precious metals by launching Kvarn X Gold, through which customers can buy and own investment gold digitally. Kvarn X Gold is part of a broader initiative aimed at bringing commodity ownership into a modern digital format.
Kvarn X Gold brings a traditional store-of-value metal into the Kvarn X mobile app, where users can follow the markets and view different asset classes within the same digital environment. Gold can be purchased in small amounts, starting from five euros.
Kvarn X Gold is provided by Kvarn Metals Oy, which is responsible for the acquisition and management of investment gold within the service.
Gold grows in popularity among investors – geopolitical risks accelerate demand
Precious metals are one of the world’s oldest commodity classes. For thousands of years, gold has served as a store of value and a safe haven for wealth, particularly during periods of inflation, exchange rate volatility, and geopolitical uncertainty.
Gold’s role in investment portfolios has grown significantly in recent years. Geopolitical tensions – including Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine, crises in the Middle East, and trade disputes between major powers – have increased investor interest in assets that retain their value during market turmoil.
